Working Together
What to expect in Therapy:
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. My aim is to make the process clear and approachable so you know what to expect.
While I specialise in faith deconstruction and identity transitions, I also work with a range of other issues, such as anxiety, relationships, and life transitions more broadly. If you're not sure whether we're a good fit, the free 20 minute call is the best way to find out.
Your First Session:
The first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy and what support you’re looking for. You don't need to prepare anything at all.
We’ll explore:
• What has brought you to therapy
• How you hope therapy will help you
• Why now?
You are free to speak at your own pace; there’s no pressure to share everything straight away.
How I Work:
I’m an integrative counsellor, drawing on different approaches depending on your needs. Sessions may include:
• Understanding your thoughts, feelings, and patterns
• Exploring how past experiences influence the present
• Making your unconsciousness, conscious
• Supporting your relationships and personal growth
My role isn’t to fix you but to work alongside you respectfully and collaboratively.
Session Structure & Pace:
• Duration: 50 minutes per session
• Frequency: Most people start weekly; we can adjust this over time
• Sessions provide a safe space to reflect, process, and gain insight
• Everything you bring: frustration, grief, anger, or confusion, is welcome
Practical Details:
• Fee: £75 per session
• Availability: Online, Monday-Friday 10am-3pm; limited evening slots.
• Consultation: Free 20-minute call to see if we’re a good fit
• Payment to be made before or on the day of the session via bank transfer
• You’re free to end therapy at any time with good notice so we are able to end our work together well.
